Inzhur Launches Fund to Bring Private Capital into Ukraine’s Defense Industry

Ukrainian investment company Inzhur launched Inzhur MilTech to channel private capital into domestic defense manufacturing. Its first asset is drone producer Vyriy Industries, which may raise up to UAH 5 billion through corporate bonds to expand production and fund working capital. The fund offers a minimum investment of UAH 1,000 and targets annual returns of 25–29% in hryvnia. New investments will be accepted through December 31, 2026.

BraveTech EU Opens €120,000 DefTech Grant Competition for Innovators

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced the opening of applications for BraveTech EU’s DefTech Forges, which offers €120,000 grants to Ukrainian and EU defense and dual-use companies working with TRL 4+ technologies. Up to 40 teams will be selected to test their solutions in Germany and Romania, with six winners in the running for up to €750,000 in further funding. The key areas are autonomous strike drones, modular UAVs, detection systems, guidance technologies, and EW-resistant flight controllers.

Ukraine Faces $61 Billion Housing Loss as Frontline Communities Demand New Policy

Direct damage to Ukraine’s housing stock exceeded $61.1 billion by the end of 2025, with about 14% of homes damaged or destroyed. Nearly three-quarters of losses were concentrated in seven frontline regions. The eRecovery program has paid over UAH 119 billion ($2.9 billion) to almost 232,000 families, but access to mortgages remains limited. Frontline communities are calling for a broader housing policy combining affordable mortgages, rent-to-own schemes, and municipal housing.

EBRD Considers €330 Million Financing Package for Ukrainian Businesses

The EBRD is considering two projects with ProCredit Bank in Ukraine worth up to €330 million, with approval expected by September 9. The €30 million loan would boost the financing available to private SMEs, while a risk-sharing facility would cover up to €300 million in new lending. The funding will be allocated to working capital, modernization, green technologies, agriculture, food processing, retail, and logistics, with priority given to businesses affected by war and inclusive entrepreneurship.

GlobalLogic Partners With Ministry to Expand Diia Digital Services

GlobalLogic Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation signed a memorandum of cooperation to support the development of Diia and other digital government services. GlobalLogic engineers will assist with new service launches, software engineering practices, quality assurance, and the ministry’s Software Development Competence Center. Diia currently provides more than 150 online services to over 24 million users, while GlobalLogic employs more than 6,500 specialists in Ukraine.

Zelenskyy Seeks U.S. Sale of PAC-3 Interceptors to Bolster Winter Air Defense

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has about 40% of the interceptor missiles it had a year ago, while Russia is launching roughly twice as many ballistic missiles per month. Ukraine has asked the United States to sell it 5% of U.S. PAC-3 interceptor stocks and is prepared to pay the full cost. Zelenskyy said this amount could help Ukraine strengthen air defense through the winter, while 10% would cover most ballistic missile threats.

Ukraine’s Central Bank Loosens Restructuring and Collateral Rules for Businesses

Ukraine’s central bank eased rules that would have required banks to declare businesses in default during short-term debt restructuring amid the financial difficulties caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. The measure applies to restructurings carried out between 1 July 2026 and 1 September 2027. The National Bank of Ukraine also loosened collateral requirements for agricultural producers by raising recognized liquidity values and extending loan terms to support working capital, storage needs, and alternative export logistics.
