Ukrainian Robots Seize Enemy Position Without Infantry: A First in This War

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces had, for the first time in the war, taken a Russian position using only unmanned systems, including ground robotic platforms and drones, without infantry involvement. According to him, the opposing troops surrendered, and the operation resulted in no Ukrainian casualties. Zelenskyy also said Ukrainian robotic systems had carried out more than 22,000 missions in three months and highlighted Ukraine’s experience in maritime security operations.

Five Ukrainian Defense Firms Sign Agreements with German Partners

Five Ukrainian defense companies signed six partnership agreements with German firms under the Build with Ukraine initiative. The agreements cover joint ventures, technology cooperation, and weapons production. Culver Aerospace and Helsing agreed to jointly develop and manufacture long-range strike drones in Germany, with funding from the German government. Other deals involve cooperation on air defense, interceptor drones, and missile-aviation systems. The initiative aims to combine Ukrainian defense technologies and operational experience with European production capacity.

EIC Grant and N1 Investment Bring Nearly €1M to Ukrainian Startups

Two Ukrainian technology companies secured nearly €1 million in new investment. Airport software developer INPUT SOFT received a €500,000 grant from the European Innovation Council to accelerate product development and expand across Europe. Its software helps airports improve operations, reduce costs, and lower emissions. Separately, Obriy AI raised $500,000 from N1 Investment Company and launched a long-term strategic partnership to support product development, team growth, and international market entry.

Germany to Back Ukraine's EU Carbon Certification Amid Green Recovery Talks

Ukraine and Germany discussed expanding cooperation on EU integration, climate and environmental policy, and green reconstruction initiatives. A key topic was the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with Germany set to support certification of Ukrainian emissions verifiers. The talks also covered renewable energy, biomethane exports, innovation, and joint technology, science, energy, and space projects. Both sides plan to formalize further cooperation at the 2026 Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk.

34th Ramstein Meeting Delivers Air Defense and PURL Pledges for Ukraine

At the 34th Ramstein-format meeting, partner countries announced new military support for Ukraine, with a large share directed to the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), air defense, drones, ammunition, and logistics. Germany pledged funding for air defense and long-range capabilities, while the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Lithuania, and Estonia also announced contributions. The meeting highlighted continued coordination of military assistance through the Ramstein framework.

Ukraine's Parliament Passes Electricity Market Integration Law

Ukraine’s parliament has adopted an EU integration law aimed at linking the country’s energy market more closely with the European one. According to parliamentary energy committee head Andriy Herus, the measure will enable participants to trade on a shared platform where pricing and cross-border network access are determined simultaneously. The law also introduces negative electricity pricing, a practice used in the EU. Market integration is expected to take 12–18 months and could support access to €500 million under the EU’s Ukraine Facility.

Ukraine and Norway signed a declaration on a defense partnership covering joint weapons production and cooperation on unmanned systems. The agreement was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Ukraine's Kernel Supplies Field Data to NASA Harvest for Agricultural Monitoring

Ukrainian agribusiness company Kernel is providing data to NASA Harvest to support the development of analytical models for global agricultural environmental monitoring. NASA Harvest uses satellite imagery and machine learning to assess crop patterns, yields, and farming practices. The work is part of a joint project involving the EBRD and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. According to Kernel, the cooperation may improve sustainability assessments and help align the sector with future EU requirements.
