Ukraine Launches Brave1 Component Grants
Ukraine is launching a new Brave1 grant program to support manufacturers of components for defense technologies, offering up to 8 million UAH per project to speed up testing, refinement, and preparation for mass production. Priority funding covers 20 categories, including engines, propulsion elements for missiles and drones, computing systems, sensors, communications, cameras, gimbals, and other electronics. The initiative aims to build independent production of key components and position Ukraine as a component base for allied markets.

Ireland Forum Highlights Ukraine Investment
In Dublin, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin opened a Ukraine–Ireland business forum focused on long-term partnerships, growing Irish capital in Ukraine, and technology transfer for industrial modernization. Ukrainian officials presented an innovation-driven economic model and invited transparent, long-term investors. Kyiv Hosts IP LET Forum 2025
Kyiv hosted the fourth IP LET Forum 2025, a key annual event on intellectual property that brings together experts from IP, technology, science, business, and creative industries. The forum focused on digitalizing IP services, aligning Ukraine with the European IP framework, and using technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve examination and access to global markets. Participants also discussed a draft IP Development Strategy to 2030 and ways IP can support economic recovery, innovation, and cultural sectors.

DOT-Chain Defense Delivers Rapid Equipment
Over the first four months of operation, the Ministry of Defense’s DOT-Chain Defense system has supplied Ukrainian forces with more than 144,000 units of equipment worth over 6.15 billion UAH, including FPV drones, electronic warfare tools, and fixed-wing UAVs. The platform, already deployed across 184 Armed Forces brigades and 2 National Guard corps, allows units to define their own needs while the Defense Procurement Agency handles all procedures, shortening delivery times to a few weeks and enabling more targeted support.

Netherlands Expand PURL Support for Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Netherlands will provide a second PURL assistance package worth 250 million dollars to support Ukraine’s defense needs. The funds will finance additional air defense assets, F-16 fighter aircraft, and other military equipment. Combined with the initial 500-million-dollar tranche, Dutch contributions under PURL now total 750 million dollars, enabling Ukraine to access U.S.-origin weapons and strengthen protection against Russian missile and air attacks.

Germany Boosts Support for Ukraine’s Energy Sector
Germany will contribute an additional 100 million euros to Ukraine’s Energy Support Fund to repair energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. The money, provided via Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and KfW development bank, will fund critical equipment for restoration works. With this tranche, Germany’s total contribution to the fund will reach 550 million euros by end-2025, the largest among international donors, helping strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s power system during the war.

Australia and New Zealand Join PURL
Australia and New Zealand have joined the NATO–US PURL initiative to supply weapons and equipment to Ukraine, announcing military aid packages of 63 million and 8.7 million dollars respectively. Australia will allocate 50 million Australian dollars to PURL, 2 million to the Drone Coalition, and 43 million for air-defense radars, ammunition and engineering equipment. New Zealand will contribute 15 million New Zealand dollars to PURL, further broadening the coalition of countries financing U.S.-origin arms for Ukraine.

Ukraine Launches Brave1 Defense Tech Marketplace
The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Brave1 defense tech cluster have launched Brave1 Market, an online platform where Ukrainian military units can quickly find and purchase modern technologies, from drones and ground robots to EW systems, components, and AI-based software. Access to sensitive listings is restricted to verified personnel via Diia and DELTA. Units will select solutions directly and negotiate with manufacturers, with future integration of “e-points” earned for confirmed enemy losses to support decentralized procurement.

Ukraine Develops ARes Acoustic Targeting System
Ukrainian company ARes has developed an acoustic targeting system that detects and tracks drones and missiles, including FPV drones and Shahed-type UAVs, in all weather and lighting conditions. The passive system covers a full hemisphere, can follow multiple targets in noisy urban environments, and provides precise cueing for weapons. It uses phased microphone arrays and beamforming, overlays acoustic data on video for operators, and is being adapted for ground drones, with production to be supported by a Brave1 grant.
