Zelenskyy Opens Arms Exports, Plans 10 European Centers
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is opening arms exports and will launch 10 Ukrainian export centers in Europe in 2026, focused on Northern Europe and the Baltic states. He also said production of Ukrainian drones is scheduled to begin in Germany in mid-February 2026 with a full manufacturing line, while Ukrainian drone production lines are already operating in the United Kingdom. Zelenskyy stated that around 450 Ukrainian companies produce drones, including 40–50 leading firms, and described 2026 as a year of investment in Ukrainian technologies, especially drones.

Ukraine and Denmark Deepen F-16, Patriot, and Industrial Ties
Ukraine and Denmark discussed deepening cooperation on air defense and defense industry development during talks between Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Denmark’s Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. Ukraine thanked Denmark for sustained support and highlighted the “Danish model” of industrial assistance, which helped raise over $2 billion for Ukrainian production in 2025. The ministers reviewed ongoing F-16 support, including prospects for supplying weapons and further sustainment. They also explored company collaboration and potential Danish participation in priority projects, such as drone support for brigades and reforms to the training system.

DTEK Brings U.S. Drilling Tech to Boost Ukrainian Gas Output
DTEK signed a strategic partnership with US-based Turbo Drill Industries to introduce advanced drilling technology to increase oil and gas production in Ukraine. DTEK Naftogaz, described as Ukraine’s largest private gas producer, will become the sole authorized provider of Turbo Drill’s Vertical Scout technology in Ukraine. The companies say the technology is expected to accelerate extraction, reduce costs, and expand output, contributing to energy security in Ukraine and Europe. The announcement describes this as the first collaboration of this format between a Ukrainian company and Turbo Drill Industries.

Ukraine and France Sign Joint Weapons Production Intent
Ukraine and France signed a letter of intent on joint weapons production in both countries, according to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. Talks covered speeding up the delivery of Mirage 2000s and sustaining high-volume production of AASM Hammer-guided bombs. The sides also discussed upgrades to SAMP/T for improved ballistic defense, faster supply and manufacturing of Aster missiles, and long-range SCALP strikes. They outlined joint testing and electronic-warfare innovation, with financing options including EU credit and the SAFE program.

Czech 155mm Shell Production in Ukraine Falls Short on Orders
Czech defense group Czechoslovak Group (CSG) said its plan to localize production of 155 mm NATO-standard artillery ammunition in Ukraine did not reach planned volumes because confirmed orders and funding decisions were insufficient, according to Jan Hamáček, CSG’s Brussels-based strategic director. CSG aimed to produce 100,000 rounds in Ukraine by the end of 2025 with its partner, Ukrainian Armor, and had transferred technology and prepared capacity. The facilities could be scaled if demand rises; CSG is also exploring drone-related projects.

Defense-Tech Startup Farsight Vision Secures €7.2M for AI Recon
Ukrainian-Estonian defense-tech startup Farsight Vision raised €7.2 million with support from the Brave1 innovation platform, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation said on 12 February. It develops AI reconnaissance tools that process terrain data and send real-time situational awareness to drone and ground-robot operators. The funds will expand robotic systems for logistics, navigation, and weapons control. The round was led by Axon Enterprise and Estonia’s SmartCap Defence Fund, with Radix Ventures, Anker Capital, Final Frontier, and Darkstar participating.

Poll: Ukrainian Support for EU Membership Hits Record 83%
A Razumkov Center telephone survey commissioned by the Kyiv Security Forum (31 Jan–4 Feb 2026; n=1,003 adults; margin of error ≤3.2%; excluding Crimea) found 83% support Ukraine joining the EU and 71.3% support joining NATO. EU support rose from 81.7% in September 2025; NATO support rose from 68.5%. The poll also found 57.8% believe NATO could defend itself if attacked by Russia, while 52% think Russia may target a NATO member.

Knyazha VIG Launches $25M DFC-Backed War-Risk Reinsurance
Ukrainian insurer Knyazha VIG, part of Vienna Insurance Group, signed a $25 million reinsurance agreement with the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to cover clients’ assets against war-related risks, the company said on 9 February. The mechanism took effect on 1 February 2026 and enables full war-risk coverage for an insurance portfolio of up to $100 million, targeting small and medium-sized businesses and individuals nationwide. The deal was arranged with broker Aon. Ukraine’s 2026 budget allocates 1 billion hryvnias to support war-risk insurance for business.
