Ukrainian Quantum Startup Haiqu Launches AI Platform for Quantum Research

Haiqu introduced AgenticOS, an AI-agent platform that automates quantum algorithm development, mathematical calculations, scientific literature analysis, and experiment validation. The company says it can cut research timelines from months to days. In internal testing, one experiment came within 3.4% of an exact reference value. AgenticOS works with quantum simulators and processors from IBM, IonQ, IQM, and AWS. Enterprise research teams can request access, and university researchers can apply for free access through Haiqu’s academic program.

Ukraine and NATO Develop AI Models for Drone Threat Prediction and Artillery Planning

Ukraine’s Armed Forces and NATO Allied Command Transformation, supported by the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC), developed two AI models to support battlefield decision-making. Model No. 13 predicts enemy UAV activity, including attack intensity, locations, timing, and drone types, from historical data, weather conditions, and battlefield intelligence. It has passed validation and is ready for integration into Ukrainian military systems. Model No. 32 generates and ranks artillery operation plans based on available weapons, ammunition, firing positions, and operational constraints.

Ukraine Deploys Hundreds of AI-Enabled Turrets to Counter Russian Drones

Ukraine has deployed hundreds of automated heavy machine-gun turrets as part of its layered air defense, with plans to expand production and develop longer-range versions. Ukrainian defense officials say AI- and machine-vision-equipped systems have intercepted high-speed Russian drones, including the Geran-5. One deployed platform is the Ukrainian-developed Sky Sentinel, which carries a 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine gun. Other systems use 7.62 mm to 12.7 mm weapons. The Ministry of Defense has also asked domestic manufacturers to develop countermeasures for next-generation drones that can reach about 800 km/h.
