Ukraine and Australia Explore AI Cooperation in Public Services
Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation presented its public-sector AI framework to Australian officials, including the national AI strategy, WINWIN AI Center of Excellence, sovereign AI infrastructure, Diia.AI, and alignment with the EU AI Act. The Ukrainian delegation also presented AI tools being developed for the Mriia education ecosystem: automated test and lesson-plan generation, personalized recommendations, and knowledge graph-based learning pathways. The two countries will look into technical exchanges and joint workshops for Ukrainian and Australian developers, potentially paving the way for future cross-border AI projects.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and AI HOUSE launched the first stage of a national platform designed to map and connect the country’s fragmented AI ecosystem. The platform will include an open registry, an interactive map of organizations, a shared calendar of events and hackathons, ecosystem statistics, and a regular industry newsletter. At least 20–30 leading market participants are expected to be verified and added by year-end, potentially improving visibility and access for investors, startups, researchers, and public-sector partners.

Ukraine’s AI Regulatory Sandbox Draws More Than 100 Applications
Ukraine’s regulatory sandbox for AI and blockchain products has received more than 100 applications; around 25 companies are currently undergoing legal, technical, cybersecurity, and business assessments. The program supports projects in GovTech, MedTech, DefenseTech, AgroTech, EdTech, energy, science, and culture, while simultaneously helping participants prepare for European regulatory requirements, particularly the EU AI Act. Diia.AI Adds Voice Interface Through ElevenLabs Integration
Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation has integrated Diia.AI with ElevenLabs for voice interaction, enabling users to access government information and services without typing. The assistant can effectively process spoken requests and respond with audio and text. It can also perform tasks such as searching for sole proprietor information, checking insurance records, and requesting income certificates—the functionality is the same as the text version of the Diia.AI assistant, which was first launched in September 2025. Ukraine Deploys First Generative Voice AI Assistant on a Government Hotline
Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy and Environment launched a voice AI assistant in the State Employment Service contact center, marking the country’s first use of generative AI to handle incoming calls on an official government hotline. During the pilot, the system processed 2,700 calls, reduced average response time to 18 seconds, handled all after-hours calls, and automated 20% of routine inquiries during working hours. Developed with ElevenLabs, the service is expected to scale from 4,000 to 80,000 calls per month and may later be extended to other public services.

The Central Research Institute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is developing Marichka, a closed AI-based information system designed to help brigade- and regiment-level commanders process operational data and model possible courses of action. According to the institute, the system could reduce decision-making time from 6–12 hours to minutes by calculating force ratios, resource requirements, potential losses, and battlefield scenarios on an interactive map. Marichka has completed tests using non-sensitive data, while developers are working on secure information channels and future integration of documents classified as “For Official Use” and “Secret.”

Ukrainian-French fintech startup Aiffin raised €3.1 million at a €30 million valuation, including €625,000 in equity from more than 50 investors across nine countries and €2.5 million in debt financing for leasing transactions. The company will invest in AI infrastructure for credit scoring, underwriting, risk assessment, and counterparty verification, while expanding its partner network in France ahead of broader European growth. Aiffin has already originated €3.2 million in leases and offers its technology as a white-label and SaaS product for car dealers, brokers, neobanks, and accounting platforms.

Ukrainian-Estonian Defense Tech Startup Farsight Vision has received an undisclosed amount from the European Innovation Council via the Horizon Europe program. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate product development, strengthen its technology platform, and expand dual-use solutions for critical infrastructure protection, military intelligence, unmanned systems, and combat robotics; the company emphasizes the importance of developing digital solutions to protect critical infrastructure, which is becoming an increasingly important component of national resilience. Previously, in February 2026, Farsight Vision closed a €7.2 million seed round. The ongoing institutional backing confirms the potential of Farsight Vision’s dual-use technologies, the company stated.
