The edge AI solution detects mines, unexploded ordnance, IEDs, and kamikaze drones with 15cm accuracy, operating autonomously without cloud connectivity - critical in electronic warfare conditions. The company has tested systems in Ukraine for over two years, creating a mine detection dataset with over 170 confirmed targets.
Quantum Systems Delivers First Vector AI Drones with Acoustic Detection
German defense company Quantum Systems delivered Vector AI reconnaissance drones equipped with Polish WASP acoustic sensors capable of detecting artillery fire at 15km range to Ukraine. The 150-gram sensor identifies direction and distance to firing positions while onboard AI processes data in real-time, detecting artillery at up to 15km and small arms at 2.5km with four-hour flight endurance.
