Matthew currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and is a founding member of Sands Point Risk, where he oversees the underwriting and placement of intricate insurance solutions for cross-border transactions. His extensive experience includes leadership roles in the transactional liability space, collaborating with law firms, financial sponsors, and strategic investors to facilitate global mergers and acquisitions.

 

Before venturing into the private sector, Matthew spent several years with the US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, specializing in foreign intelligence and counterterrorism roles both domestically and internationally.  Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Matthew is actively involved in various non-profit organizations spanning humanitarian causes from New York to Ukraine.

 

Matthew holds a J.D. from Syracuse University, a M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.S. in Business Administration and International Relations from American University.
