Biography
Chris Story is a security professional with over 30 years’ experience managing, conducting, and consulting in protective security, intelligence, and risk intelligence operations.
Chris is a senior risk intelligence, physical security and protective operations leader, consultant, and specialist trainer with an extensive domestic/international operational background. He has developed protective intelligence and security operations programs and associated operations centers for Forbes 100 and Fortune 250 individuals and companies, and government programs using risk-based, intelligence driven protection strategies, techniques, and technology.
Chris brings decades of tangible experience in standard and non-standard protective security and intelligence operations with significant involvement in semi-permissive and high-threat environments. He spent years 2.5 managing protective operations for the US State Department and 4.5 years for another government agency. He leads full spectrum risk assessment, management, intelligence, and security operations support and consulting.
Chris holds a BA in Security Management from American Military University, an MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University, and an MBA from Keller School of Management. Chris is also a 14-year US Army Veteran. He proudly sits on The International Protective Security Board, an organization dedicated to professionalizing and furthering education in the protective industry and is a member of both ASIS and AIRIP and was recently selected to the be on the ASIS Technical Committee for Executive Protection Standards. He is also the Co-Founder and Co-Host of Conversations in Close Protection, a podcast about the close protection industry and those in it.
